Mr. Thanathorn Juangroongruangkit, campaign assistant for the People's Party, stated that looking back at the 2023 election, who was sad that the Move Forward Party didn't become the government? Who was sad that Mr. Pita Limjaroenrat didn't become Prime Minister? Today, I am here to tell you all that the rules for the upcoming 2026 election and the 2023 election are not the same. You don’t have to be sad anymore.

“In the upcoming February election, the Senators will no longer have the power to vote for the Prime Minister. Don’t forget that in 2023, the ones who blocked Pita weren't the MPs. Pita gathered more than half of the MPs—over 251 votes. The ones who blocked progress and change were the Senators. The Senators back then were appointed by the NCPO—the junta that seized power from the people,” Thanathorn said.

Mr. Thanathorn added that today it is clear they are afraid of us. From a party once dismissed as "impossible," we became the number one party in Thailand in just 5 years and over 2 elections. They fear us. They fear change. Therefore, in this election, you can see that the People's Party—carrying on the ideology of the Move Forward Party—is being attacked from all sides. Whether it's military IOs or rival parties trying to attack, fabricate fake news, destroy credibility, and slander us until the people are confused. Why? Because they fear change. Because they fear the future.

“The question is, why do they fear us? They fear that once we have power, we will go in and change the political system, correcting the wrongs of the past for the future. The current political system allows them to feast on the suffering of the people, allowing them to plunder and take the people's taxes as their own personal property. A system like this is heartless. A system like this is unjust. A system like this says that whoever surrenders to the system to maintain it—no matter how vile, corrupt, or illegal they are—they are not wrong, as long as they agree to be a tool to maintain the system,” Thanathorn said.
